"He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Nothing can separate us....

I am writing this as I sit in the family waiting area of the hospital.  Nate is having surgery to repair a hernia...this is the 3rd surgery.  He also had these surgeries when he was 5 and 7.  Hopefully this time, with the help of a little piece of mesh, this will be his last.

Bob just wisked the other 4 kiddos off to take a walk and get Nate a balloon.  We brought our whole crazy gang this morning.  Robbie really wanted to be at the hospital for Nate so we all came.  Sadie made sure everyone knew we had arrived by her soft quiet voice.  Haaa haa!

Bob and I went back with Nate as they prepared him for his operation.  Poor guy had himself quite anxious(I have no idea where he gets that from).  We prayed with him and reminded him of God's truths and His love for Nate.  I told Nate that when I get anxious I try to recite over and over a favorite verse or part of a hymn or song.  He then told me with a giggle, he was saying in his head "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil".  Oh my, this kid is so my child.  Another one of his favorites, which happens to be mine as well is Romans 8:38-39"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to seperate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Oh how completely reassuring that verse is!  Absolutely nothing. nothing! can seperate us from our Lord!  No matter what happens in this crazy world we live in...when we know Him and trust in Him, we will never be seperated from Him. Hallelujah! Now I need to go and cling to His promises for myself as I sit and wait and pray and wait and pray some more....

Sadie keeping busy....or rather into everything she can get her hands on:)
