"He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

A SURPRISE from East Africa!

We have been keeping a secret from our kids, that our good friend and brother Eliud was flying in from Africa to be in Caleb and Carrie's wedding this Friday.

So today, Caleb stopped by to have the boys "help" him carry some boxes from the trunk....and this is what they found..........
What!!!??? E-L-I-U-D!!!!!

Couldn't have been more excited!

still in shock..
friends and brothers!
the girls were equally as surprised!

I love surprising our kids!! This was a great one!  The boys reaction was, "This was the best present!"

And once, they heard he would be staying with us....it was even better!  We are so thankful for Eliud, he holds a big place in our hearts and our family!  We look forward to spending much time with him..he is a blessing!

The Big 4-0 baby!!

Happy Birthday to my incredible husband.  I can't believe you are turning 40...where in the world has our life gone....seems just like yesterday we were two kids getting married and now here today you are turning the big one!!!!!
I am so blessed to be married to you! Your love for God is evident and you lead our family to trust in Him and to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind.  Your love for others and your love for God touches so many around you.  Your enthusiasm for life is contagious.  You love to have fun!   There are so many things I love about you,  I love to watch you play with the girls...your not to macho for them and are up for tea-parties anytime.  You cherish them and they know it.  I love how involved you are with our boys and what they like even when it isn't your favorite.  They love to just be with you and be a part of whatever you are doing.   You have given them such a great example as to how a husband should love a wife,  but the one that stands out most is how you lead our family.  You would say you are not perfect, that is true, but your desire to glorify God is so strong and the foundation of our family is rooted in Christ because of your leadership.  Thank you for seeking after Christ and for your faithfulness to our family!

I am so thankful for your 40 years of life!  We celebrate you today and all that God is doing in and through you!!!! Love you to pieces!!! xoxoxo
