Honestly, I hesitated to read this entry, as I knew I would feel like a total holiday failure as a parent since I don't think I even uttered a "Happy St. Pat's" day to my kids...or anyone...let alone have a green beer or pancake. I applaud your efforts once again. (At least I did something special for Vday, right?) You're an inspiration!
Melissa, truth be told....I hadn't planned on doing anything except for making their milk green. And then, my kids on the eve of st.patty's day were squealing over the excitement of the next day and "we can't wait to see what you are doing tomorrow mom" dropped like a lead balloon and I quickly began scurrying for stuff to make it look like something! CVS is open till 10pm....and it saved me!! So beware of raising the bar to high on anything because going "all out" last year....haunted me this year...for sure! And if we weren't irish I wouldn't probably do a single thing!
